Seoul is a city that beautifully blends urban vibrancy with natural splendor. Getting There

Bukhansan is easily accessible from central Seoul. The most common starting points are:

  • Dobongsan Station (Line 1 and Line 7): A popular entry point for those looking to hike to Dobong Peak.

  • Gupabal Station (Line 3): From here, take bus 34, 704, or 8772 to the Bukhansanseong Fortress entrance.

Choosing Your Trail

Bukhansan offers a variety of trails suitable for different fitness levels and interests. Here are some popular options:

1. Baegundae Peak Trail

  • Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging

  • Duration: 4-5 hours round trip

  • Highlights: Reaching the highest peak in the park, sometimes really steep, panoramic views of Seoul, passing by ancient fortresses and temples.

  • Duration: 3-4 hours round trip

  • Highlights: Stunning rock formations, popular among rock climbers, offering excellent views of the surrounding area.

  • Duration: 3-4 hours round trip

  • Highlights: Historical fortresses and gates, scenic forest paths, beautiful views without the steep climb.
